Usually the people who stay up till late in the night get the craving to eat something. There are some people who wake up in the middle of the night and immediately feel the need to eat something. This may happen even if you have had your meal only a few hours ago. If you experience this situation, make sure that you do not eat just about anything in the refrigerators. Your healthy eating streak should continue even in the night.

The studies reveal that most of the people feel hungry in the night primarily because of dehydration. If the water level in your body is taken care of, the hunger may disappear instantly. So instead of reaching out for a food item, gulp down a few glasses of water. You may not feel the need to eat after that.

Just in case you are still feeling hungry then you can eat the vegetables that can be consumed raw. For instance, you can eat carrot and broccoli. These food items make you feel full and at the same time supply you with some vital nutrients. 

You can also try eating oatmeal in the night. Although oatmeal is usually eaten at the breakfast, you can safely have it in the night as well. In fact, oatmeal has fiber which can help the bowel movement in the morning the next day. 

Do not eat the energy bars in the night. These bars are meant for instant energy and hence you may lose your sleep for the rest of the night. Also avoid anything which has caffeine for the same reason.
